Doug Rowand, president and CEO of Arrowhead United Way, announced his upcoming fall retirement at the Arrowhead United Way annual Meeting and Community Awards Breakfast in June.

Rowand dedicated a total of 26 years to Arrowhead United Way, three years as a board member, and 23 years as the president and CEO.

He has been a Highland resident for many years and was stationed for five years at Norton Air Force Base.

A press release from Arrowhead United Way described Rowand as a friend and colleague to many and a pioneer, fighting to improve the community and the lives of its members.

"I want to acknowledge every volunteer, donor, and advocate for their dedication and support. The support and hard work of so many people, businesses, and nonprofit organizations shows the potential of individuals to unite to improve our community and quality of life. It has been my pleasure to serve this organization, and I know our work in the community will continue," says Rowand.
