SAN BERNARDINO UNITED COVID19 RELIEF FUND
NEIGHBORS HELPING NEIGHBORS IN NEED DURING THIS TIME OF UNCERTAINTY
Arrowhead United Way announces San Bernardino (SB) United COVID19 Relief Fund to support those most at risk and affected by the COVID19-virus. This fund will serve to assist unsheltered residents, low-income individuals, entire families, and those who will face economic hardships due to the Corona Virus. All funds will remain local and be distributed to the 25 cities that our organization already currently serves.
The SB United COVID19 Relief Fund is a secure way for individuals, non-profit organizations, and businesses to fund various programs aimed at providing relief during the prolonged closures. All donations are 100% tax-deductible.
The fund will:
1. Prevent growth in homelessness due to the economic impacts of coronavirus to low-income individuals and families through emergency support such as rental, utility, food and emergency assistance.
2. Support the public health response to protect our homeless neighbors; and support organizations who are on the frontlines through materials and supplies to prevent the spread of disease, as well as increasing the overall capacity of the shelter system to be able to address the crisis and meet emergency health standards.
3. Provide support to low-income students and their families who require assistance with technology and other means to stay connected to their academic instruction and learning.
4. Assist in additional support to our non-profit partners, such as the local food banks and other vital community services, so they can continue doing their critical human services work in this time of need.
If you are an individual or family in need of assistance or support, please dial 2-1-1 to be connected with local health and human services resources.
