Arrowhead United Way to launch their “Local Love Campaign” with the City of San Bernardino

Arrowhead United Way (AUW) is partnering with the City of San Bernardino to engage city employees in the importance of giving back to the community they serve.

“The City of San Bernardino has been supporting United Way and their mission of creating measurable change since 1991, which is why we are thrilled to be reconnecting with the city and launching the “Local Love Campaign” in order to continue the long tradition of mobilizing the giving power of the community. Because change does not happen alone, it takes many people pledging either $5, $10, or even $25 dollars monthly to truly see change in our community. Once again, we are very thankful to the City of San Bernardino for this opportunity and look forward to seeing expanded programs and resources made possible by the success of the campaign”, says President and CEO of Arrowhead United Way, Dr. Gwen Dowdy Rodgers.

Donations will be used locally to help AUW continue their local programs which include Project M.E.D, Next Steps Mentoring Program, Black Innovation in S.T.E.A.M Awards, Interview for Success, and Gingerbread Kids, all of which give right back to the community, and provide low-income families, partner agencies, and children the resources they need to succeed.

AUW is a volunteer-driven, 501(c)3 non-profit organization that mobilizes the community power of giving to improve the lives of the community it serves. Since its inception in 1978, AUW has been actively working in the high-priority areas of health, education, and financial stability.
